New addition to Northeast Business Park steps up

25 October 2010

Queensland based training group STEPS will lead a comprehensive employment and training strategy at Northeast Business Park.

The not-for-profit organisation focuses on empowering those in need through employment and training programs and manager Greg Poultney said Northeast Business Park was a great opportunity to build job skills and employment in the Caboolture area.

“The construction phase is the early opportunity, but the rich social infrastructure this project will bring is set to provide significant new jobs through the large volume of retailers, users and tenants,” Mr Poultney said.

STEPS plans to leverage training, recruitment and job placement opportunities for community members, in a variety of areas including apprenticeships and traineeships.

It will also be active in seeking out career avenues within the project for school leavers, ensuring that Caboolture youths don’t need to travel far to find work.

The STEPS strategy will come into play when the NEBP begins construction.
