Northeast Business Park a web hit

3 March 2011

E-newsletter readers can now befriend Northeast Business Park on Facebook.

Northeast Business Park has launched a profile on the popular social networking site and has already acquired 12,000 page views in two weeks.

Northeast Business Park CEO Jeff Smith said the social media platform has already proven a worthwhile outlet for interacting with users about the project.

“So far it’s been a great way to further engage with the local community about our progress outside of the major announcements that make it into newspapers and radio,” Mr Smith said.

Mr Smith said the page also attracted enough ‘likes’ in its first day to register a dedicated Facebook URL (www.facebook.com/northharbour).

“The page will provide more informal project news than the official website and will enable people to keep up to date through regular updates.”

This latest online interest builds on an overwhelming level of community interest in Northeast Business Park, according to website data recorded in the past year.

Mr Smith said that web statistics for 2010 were a record for the project, with the website attracting 1,227 registrations of interest and 914 e-news subscriptions.

“These figures are a positive indicator that a strong level of interest in the development remains despite a lack of construction progress,” Mr Smith said.
