Plant a tree with NEBP gathering support

21 November 2011

NEBP’s public tree planting ceremony is gathering even more supporters in the lead up to the big day.  The event will launch the substantial revegetation of a large area set aside as public open space at Northeast Business Park and has attracted support from Kangaroo Bus Lines and Queensland Hire.

The planting session is a chance for each member of the public to plant one of 6the first 1000 trees as part of the revegetation program.  Over the following weeks  Greening Australia will plant another 5,500trees that will transform 4.3 hectares of degraded land along a 400 metre stretch of the Caboolture River.

When participants arrive at Northeast Business Park (access via Nolan Drive), Kangaroo Bus Lines will ferry them to the planting site.

Queensland Hire will be assisting with the site set up and facilities on the day.

Food and drink will be supplied by Caboolture River Fishing and Boating Club and local community radio station 101.5FM will be providing entertainment.

The event on Sunday 4 December runs from 8.00am-12.00pm.
