MEDIA RELEASE
Re-vegetation works underway 14 July 2011 Northeast Business Park is gearing up to begin planned re-vegetation works this month. CEO Jeff Smith said the team is currently ensuring that proposed re-vegetation works adhere to some special codes from the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI). “Due to the diverse vegetation on-site, we have been very meticulous and committed to ensuring we protect and maintain the existing plant life,” Mr Smith said. Some of the re-vegetation along the Caboolture River will include mangrove species, which means there are some special requirements in relation to the collection and use of mangrove seeds in the rehabilitation works.
