VIPS and PHD students plans to visit NEBP site

Cameron Harvey, Principal Heritage Officer (Archaeology) at the Department of Environment and Resource Management is planning to take interested PHD students and VIPs on a tour of the NEBP site.

 The visiting party is particularly interested in looking at the historical archaeology of South Sea Islander labourers in Queensland.  

The visitors will include Dr Jon Prangnell (UQ School of Social Science), Ms April Youngberry (UQ PhD candidate) and visiting Emeritus Professor Charles Orser (Curator of Historical Archaeology, New York State Museum).  

Northeast Business Park’s consulting archaeologist, Steve Chaddock (Timeline Heritage Consultants) will host the tour.
