MEDIA RELEASE
North Harbour will meet local boaties' needs 08 September 2011 The popularity of recreational boating in Queensland continues to increase as the state’s population grows.
An extensive State Government survey has revealed significant increase in the demand for new and improved facilities.
North Harbour’s proposed development will meet local boaties’ growing needs with the inclusion of a 911 berth marina, a 300-500 dry boat stacker, a shipyard and navigational improvements in the lower reaches of the Caboolture River.
The outcomes of the study have also provided a solid basis to guide investment of funding in boating infrastructure from 2012-13 onwards. - Ends-
