JOBS
The building of North Harbour will be staged over the next 20 years. The size and depth of the project provides extensive employment opportunities and, where possible, local residents will be supported in benefiting from these jobs.
North Harbour is estimated to inject more than 600 direct full time jobs each year during construction and, through the increased demand for community services and facilities that the project will create, it is anticipated that employment will increase by more than 14,000 jobs on completion, according to a Net Benefit Assessment of the project, conducted by AEC Group in 2008.
