Another busy week has flown by at North Harbour as we got set for the launch of Stage 13A of house and land packages, prepared our upcoming events for Australia Day, welcomed new staff members and got our boot camp ON (And that’s even before we got the kids ready to go back to school…)!
Taking it from the top…Stage 13A, The Keppel Release which is our first for 2017, is now available for sale. Keppel offers land sizes from Premium Villa to Traditional family, blocks 352m2 to 930m2. As always, a new build at North Harbour provides you with access to the Best Broadband in Australia (faster than NBN), reticulated gas available to each home and our beautiful Village Park with free Wi-Fi and children’s playground. Our Display Village showcases 35 designs from award-winning local and national builders such as Valeco Homes and our upcoming events offer plenty of opportunities to browse what North Harbour has to offer.
Valeco has two display homes at North Harbour, the Mandalay 31 and the Headland 26. Valeco Homes’ designs cater to everyone from families to investors and first home buyers on a budget. For a professional finish, Valeco’s building designers and interior design team rely on a combination of experience and industry training to create a modern, yet family-oriented finish. To find out more about Valeco and any of our Display Village Builders visit our Display Villages page.
If you are a First Home Buyer, the Grant is still available and remains a very attractive $20,000. Provided by the State Government, the First Home Buyers Grant is a one-off financial grant only available to those buying their first home in Australia who meet all the eligibility criteria.
Eligible recipients must be:

– an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
– receiving the grant for the first time
For a full list of the terms and conditions associated with the First Home Owners’ Grant please visit the website here.
Building a new home in a masterplanned development like North Harbour is a great way to use the First Home Buyers Grant to its full potential. North Harbour is an excellent place to choose when considering buying your first home for reasons we have elaborated on previously – namely, the longevity of the project, location, experience of the developers and first-class amenities. To find out more about the masterplan of North Harbour visit northharbour.com.au.
Another reason to choose North Harbour is our wonderful community. One thing we enjoy doing is running events to give our new residents the chance to catch up and visitors the opportunity to see what we’re all about. The next on the calendar is Australia Day and we’ve decided to spread our 2017 celebration across the whole weekend! On Saturday 28th we’ll be welcoming back the NovaFM team to broadcast from the Display Village. On Sunday 29th we’ll be firing up the BBQ for the traditional Aussie free sausage sizzle in partnership with local charity Leukaemia Support Queensland.
We’ll provide more details in next week’s Blog and we’ll be sending out our usual emails, Facebook updates and SMS so if you’d like to be kept up to date with our latest happenings make sure you sign up here.
Also new for this year we have some new staff members, Linda and Zoe, who are joining Aidan and Lorraine in the North Harbour Sales Office. Please join us in welcoming them to the team and wishing them the best in their new roles.
Our local residents might also be getting used to seeing another regular face around North Harbour. Soon-to-be-resident Cameron Smith is running a new North Harbour Boot Camp in our Village Park and is fast becoming our resident fitness guru.
“My name is Cameron Smith and I’ve lived locally since I was about 6 years old. I played footy for Moreton Bay Lions AFL and attended Saint Eugene and Saint Columban’s College. I’ve wanted to be a Personal Trainer since I was in school as sport and fitness has always been a passion of mine. I think that I have the best job in the entire world! I never dread working and nothing is more rewarding than knowing you’re able to help change lives and leave a positive impact on someone.
Why I’ve decided to move my business to North Harbour is because I saw potential in the community and have always wanted to work close to home. I currently run bootcamps in Moggill, Newstead, Ballymore and do most my PT work in the city. So it was time to finally start one out here. When I saw the North Harbour Village Park it was like a dream come true. Every trainer wants to have the perfect location with lights, plenty of grass and shelter. I found what I’ve always wanted and it was right where I wanted to live so I consider myself very lucky!
I chose to move to North Harbour because Burpengary has always been home for me and I’ve enjoyed watching the area grow over time. As I grow, the area grows and it’s nice to see the whole region come in demand.
I’m at a stage in my life where I’m not too far from settling down and having kids so when the time eventually does come around it will be extremely beneficial to live in an area with numerous parks and playgrounds. North Harbour has presented itself to me as a very family-friendly estate with plenty of young families looking to find somewhere peaceful to raise their children.”
Cam’s Top Tips for Getting Fit in 2017
-Finding only 2-3% of your week to commit to be fit. It’s not as if you’re giving up 50% of your day to do it.
-Grind out the first few sessions. The first sessions are always the toughest, if you can keep consistent through this phase you can keep going all the way!
-Find a buddy!! Have someone to help keep you accountable, whilst you can help them also. Training can be scary for some, it’s a lot less scary if you have a buddy by your side.
-Track your results. People like to know they’re making progress, get your measurements and testing done and let the results speak for themselves.
-Be conscious of your eating habits. Christmas is over! There is no excuse as to why you should still be overindulging chocolate and alcohol. Create an eating habit that you can maintain and enjoy.
Diets don’t always work and you don’t want to be dependent on shakes for the rest of your life to continue to look and feel great. Enjoy what you eat but know your limits and eat in moderation.
If you’d like to come try our bootcamps they are currently on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6pm as well as our 8am session on Saturdays! Your first session is free and prices start at about $8 per session. For more info you can contact me on 0403 932 060 or visit www.cam-fit.com.
After all that fitness talk I’m going off for a lie down; so that’s it for this week – have a good one and we’ll be back next week with more info on our Australia Day Weekend Events
