North Harbour is getting into the Christmas spirit and celebrating a huge year with a Christmas Party at the Sales and Information Centre, on Saturday December 15th from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

The car park and Sales Centre will be transformed into Christmas Party central and we will have festive music, free sausage sizzle, free face painting, fireworks and a movie. There will also be icecream and additional drinks and food available to purchase from the North Harbour Café.

Santa will be in attendance and giving out lollies, so this is a great opportunity to get photos (for free)! We’re continuing Moreton Bay’s fine tradition of heaps of Christmas lights – so if Christmas really is that most wonderful time of year for you, don’t miss it!

Passport Competition 2019

North Harbour is jumping into 2019 with a huge competition – giving all our visitors the opportunity to win a share in $5,000 of prizes!

Our first passport challenge was such a success that we’ve decided to run with it again – and give everyone another opportunity to take part. For the entire month of January 2019, we will be handing out passports to visitors to the Sales and Information Centre. The challenge is to get a stamp from each of North Harbour’s 17 builders on your way around the Display Village – you must collect 33 stamps, one for each house (page of the passport).

Then, drop it back into the Sales and Information Centre into one of the specially marked letterboxes and you’re in with a chance to win! You have the entire month of January to enter – so if you want to complete the challenge in a few steps you can, the Display Village and Sales and Information Centre are open 10am-5pm every day. BUT do be aware that some builders are not open on Thursdays and Fridays – so you may need to visit on different or additional days.

First prize is $2,500 visa card

Second prize: $1,500 visa card

Third prize: $500 visa card

Plus, five runner up prizes of $100 visa card

Searching homes for sale? North Harbour offers a sustainable lifestyle in an award-winning, environmentally accredited masterplanned development

EnviroDevelopment Accreditation

A major part of North Harbour’s vision for our unique master planned development is our commitment to creating a sustainable living environment, providing lifestyle opportunities which both enhance and incorporate our natural environment. Our proposed 1000 acres of open space and parkland is a vast space (larger than Central Park in New York) including areas which will be open to the community and protected in perpetuity. Each home at North Harbour is no further than 325 metres from part of this 1000 acres of open space and parkland, affording our residents a convenient lifestyle whilst still being able to remain connected to nature and the great outdoors. In fact, almost half the entire North Harbour site will be open, green space and parkland.

Lifestyle

It is a testament to our planning and design teams bringing this vision to life, that North Harbour has achieved a highly sought-after EnviroDevelopment accreditation. EnviroDevelopment is a scientifically based assessment scheme which independently reviews development projects and awards certification to those that achieve outstanding performance across four or more of the provided elements – Ecosystems, Waste, Energy, Materials, Water and Community.

Project Director Peter Lightbody said: “North Harbour was awarded accreditation across all six elements of the EnviroDevelopment criteria.  This is an independent assessment of our development against key environmental, sustainability and community criteria. We are very pleased to have achieved accreditation recognising the hard work that has gone into planning and delivering our community. We look forward to continuing towards our goal of sustainable development which enhances and sustains our local environments and eco-systems.”

Reforestation & Rehabilitation

The original North Harbour site has had many incarnations prior to its present-day identity, and many of these uses caused the land to be cleared i.e. sugar plantation, farming and so on (read more about previous landowners at www.northharbourheritagepark.org ). North Harbour has 9km of river frontage to the Caboolture River, and it is proposed that this be open to the public and protected as a wildlife corridor. In order to do this we need to reforest and rehabilitate the area by planting native trees and shrubs to encourage the creation of wildlife habitat which can become sustainable. So far, we have planted 60,000 trees and by the end of the project will have planted hundreds of thousands more.

Lifestyle

As part of our community partnership initiatives, we have held several Tree Planting Days to allow our community to take part in reforesting an area along the Caboolture River. Local families have had the opportunity to plant some trees they’ll be able to come back and see for years to come.

North Harbour, A Sustainable Lifestyle Community

North Harbour’s commitment to creating a sustainable lifestyle community sets it apart from other, similar, developments in the Moreton Bay Region.

A key difference that our residents can enjoy is the open space. We are turning approximately 1000 acres (almost half) of the site into publicly accessible open space – parks, playgrounds, sporting fields, walking and cycle trails. We have already delivered two great parks at The Village Park and Reflections Park, as well as open space and walking tracks and there are three more areas currently under construction that will be opened in 2019.

Lifestyle

We also have various fitness activities for people to enjoy – a weekly parkrun which is one of only three cross country parkruns in SEQ, we also have regular fitness bootcamp’s in our Village Park, and yoga at Reflections Park.

There is much more to come, but there is already plenty of space for people to get outside and enjoy.
