It has been another busy week for us at North Harbour as we have sold 16 lots from Stage 14 in the first week of release – meaning we’re more than half sold out already! We’re kicking off our roadworks on Uhlmann Road and continuing construction on our new park, Reflections Park.

Construction at North Harbour
Our Sales Consultant, Aidan Winter, reports below on current construction at North Harbour.
“This week saw the first house slab completed in Stage 13A with two more 13A sites due to begin construction in the next week.
“Construction on our latest park, named Reflections Park, is also progressing well. Reflections will be located on the south-western side of North Harbour near the Raff Creek Environmental Corridor just south of Stages 15 and 16. It will include play equipment aimed at young children (different from the Village Park to give residents lots of choice), BBQs and shelters. This Park will also offer exercise equipment in fitness stations which will provide our residents with the opportunity for free workouts in beautiful surroundings.
“The name Reflections Park has been chosen due to the extensive water around the park including Raff Creek and an area of environmental wetland. The park will also incorporate a public art piece by Simone Eisler – the design of the piece also inspired the choice of the name “Reflections”.
“The landscaping contractor is Interface Landscapes which has undertaken all the landscaping work at North Harbour to date. (All the park construction is being completed by the North Harbour development team.)
“We’re excited to bring our residents some more excellent park facilities. We’re aiming to have Reflections Park ready to go later in 2017 and will provide updates on progress and openings nearer the time.
Roadworks to Fix Right Turn Issue Begin on Uhlmann Road
The aim of these works is to improve the safety and efficiency of this intersection and make it both easier and safer to get to North Harbour, particularly for those residents who are travelling from the south.
Project Director Peter Lightbody said; “The North Harbour development team is meeting the full cost of the intersection construction with no funding for these works from either the Council or State Government. Although it is an existing traffic problem area, we’ve identified this as a problem we’d like to rectify to improve liveability at North Harbour and for our neighbours in Burpengary East.”
All works, including the traffic management plan, have been approved by the Department of Main Roads, and are expected to take approximately four months (subject to weather conditions). During the construction period there will be no right turns possible, traffic will instead be diverted to the Morayfield roundabout on the western side of the highway. On completion, the intersection will be controlled by traffic lights and will include a dedicated right turn lane to access the highway to travel north.
Mr Lightbody added; “We apologise in advance for any traffic delays, but the outcome on completion of the roadworks will deliver a much safer and efficient intersection for all North Harbour residents.”
Uhlmann Road Boat Ramp Upgrade

Work is underway to install a new floating walkway or pontoon at the Uhlmann Road boat ramp that will make life a lot easier for boat owners in Burpengary East.
Funds have been provided this financial year by the Palaszczuk Government to install the pontoon which will allow boat owners to tie up their vessel as they move their car and trailer.
Hydrographic survey work has been completed at the boat ramp site. A wind and wave study will commence this month to determine the best design for the floating walkway.
Tenders for the design and construction of the floating walkway are intended to be called by December 2017, and we aim to complete the project by mid-2018.
This pontoon or walkway was the missing bit of infrastructure at the boat ramp, and I have been chasing it for years as a councillor and then as an MP. I am very pleased to have delivered it to our community!
