The countdown for Christmas is officially on with lights and decorations going up all over our beautiful Moreton Bay Region with homes in Caboolture and Burpengary East in particular worth a visit.
The North Harbour team has an extra reason to celebrate this year as our sales are going so well that we’ve been able to bring forward our latest stage release…We’re pleased to announce that Stage 20, The Bourke Release is now available for sale.
Stage 20 is located adjacent to the Raff Creek eco-corridor and recently opened Reflections Park. The Raff Creek eco-corridor is a beautiful, forested area of natural beauty which will be protected in perpetuity and we’re very pleased to be able to open access to Raff Creek for our residents and visitors to enjoy.
Reflections Park opened in October and includes a double picnic shelter, tricycle / scooter path, bikeway path, access to the Raff Creek eco-corridor and play equipment suitable for young children including a two-seat swing, spinner, slide, climbing wall and mega tower. BBQ facilities, fitness stations and water fountains will be added early next year. Reflections Park is also the home of Sunrise Yoga in the Park, a free event held every Sunday at 7am.
Stage 20 is also close to our third park, Riparian Park, which will include play equipment aimed at older kids such as a flying fox and basketball half court and shelters, BBQs and fitness equipment. Riparian Park will start construction in early 2018 for completion in mid-2018.
Prices in Stage 20 start from $234,000 with lot sizes ranging from 400 sqm up to 723 sqm. If you would like to purchase land in our unique residential development call 5433 1111 or visit us at our Sales & Information Centre on the corner of Buckley Road and Moreton Bay Boulevard, Burpengary East. We’re open every day, 10am-5pm.
Best Christmas Homes in Caboolture
We know Queenslanders love a good set of Christmas lights and our region really goes all out at this time of year with plenty of homes in Burpengary East, Caboolture, Morayfield and Deception Bay making the “must see” lists for 2017.
Families magazine has compiled some great lists with maps and addresses of the best Christmas light shows around – all free and fun to look at, for kids of all ages! https://www.familiesmagazine.com.au/christmas-lights-brisbane/
Our North Harbour community is getting into the Christmas spirit too, can’t wait to see what they come up with!
North Harbour parkrun A Great Success
The first North Harbour parkrun was held on Saturday 25th November with runners setting off at 7am. This launch is a big event for Queensland parkrun and the Commonwealth Games Legacy Program as the North Harbour parkrun is the first Queensland site to benefit from The Embracing 2018 Legacy Program’s partnership with parkrun to bring 20 new sites to Australia. The brand-new parkrun locations will be rolled out in the lead-up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).
The North Harbour parkrun coordinator Connie Isherwood said, “Thank you to all who came along to the launch. 222 people ran or walked the course with 35 people attending parkrun for the very first time. Welcome to the parkrun family. There were also a further 30 spectators and volunteers at the launch.
“I have been Co-Event Director of Central Lakes parkrun since its inception (December 2015) and have seen that community develop into a vibrant, inclusive and encouraging one. People meet together, create and foster new friendships and discover a sense of belonging and purpose. Everyone who participates, or volunteers always enjoys parkrun. It quite simply changes lives.
“This is what I want for North Harbour parkrun and for the local community. The best thing is, you don’t have to be a seasoned runner to take part. Young and old, walkers and runners. It’s all about your own personal health and fitness journey.
“North Harbour parkrun showcases the history and beautiful natural parklands in the area and will encourage people to take their first step towards a healthier lifestyle and to engage within the local community.”
The North Harbour parkrun is a free off-road run, located in the future public park along the beautiful Caboolture River. It’s a great chance to experience this environment as well as the Moray Fields Heritage Precinct.
“Thank you to everyone who attended the North Harbour parkrun launch and a particular thank you to Connie and her team of volunteers who made the launch event so successful,” said Peter Lightbody, North Harbour Project Director.
“It’s a great way to keep fit and healthy in a beautiful location along Caboolture River”.
North Harbour parkrun is held every Saturday, the run starts at 7am with the briefing held at 6:45am.
