Hello and welcome to February. Yes, already! As promised, in this week’s Blog we’re going to be focussing on interior styling, particularly new trends for 2017 and where to source these products.
Whether you’re planning to build and furnish one of our houses for sale in 2017 or bring your current furnishings up to date there are a LOT of designs out there to choose from. If you’re looking for some ideas, real estate website Domain.com.au has released its 2017 trend predictions with some slightly surprising entries: cork tiles anyone? Terracotta is making a comeback, with jewel tones and dark green the colours to watch. Apparently fiddle fig leaves are out (which is good as I didn’t know what they were but have learnt they are of West African origin) and olive trees are in, as in INSIDE the house…if anyone goes with this option I’d be interested to hear how it works out.
If you are planning a build this year but you’re not quite sure about the process then do we have a great tip for you. IKEA has just released its new collection for 2017 which, as is their niche, specialises in clever ways to maximise space and save homeowners time.
