Community

North Harbour has been master planned to create a genuine sense of community. As it grows, amenities will emerge that will bring people together.

The North Harbour’s proposed marina*, with its planned marina* village, neighbourhood shopping centre, and cafés and restaurants, will not only be a focal point, but its likely design will also make it a warm and welcoming meeting place.

With 1000 acres of open spaces across the North Harbour development, the planned sporting grounds, picnic areas, playgrounds, exercise spaces, walking paths, cycleways and more will invite residents into the great outdoors to share an active lifestyle, adding to the community values.

As the North Harbour northside community emerges, community connections will build and strengthen. The proposed design aims to achieve the right mix of features and services, and the high standards of design, landscaping and maintenance will make North Harbour a community residents will feel proud to call home.

Shopping

The planned development of North Harbour Village at the proposed North Harbour marina* will provide residents with easy access to a variety of speciality shopping and dining options. There’s potential for the village to grow into a place of convenient shopping, and a place to meet – it might be where you can stop for a coffee, stock up on fresh bread and pastries, have your haircut, and catch up with friends over lunch.

Step outside the North Harbour development and you’ll find there’s a world of shopping within easy reach. Close at hand is Burpengary Plaza, a convenience centre located just four minutes away by car. Burpengary Plaza is home to Woolworths, banks, fashion and beauty retailers, and medical services.

Morayfield Shopping Centre, which is nine minutes away from North Harbour by car, features over 180 stores and 3000 car parks. Stores include Woolworths, Coles, Big W, Target and Kmart, and there are Birch Carroll and Coyle cinemas there too.

A 35-minute drive north on the M1 will take you to all the shopping options on offer on the Sunshine Coast. Head south, and after 45-minutes* in the car, you’ll arrive in Brisbane’s CBD and enjoy the sophisticated big-city shopping experience that’s on offer there.

By Chloe

Chloe Alley: The Young Entrepreneur Behind ‘By Chloe’

Hi, I’m Chloe Alley Founder – Owner of By Chloe and 2021 Future Anything Grand Final Winner

I started my business back in 2019 when I was just 11 years old.

In 2019, I was gifted a sewing machine from my grandparents for Christmas. At the time I had no idea how to sew nor did I expect to receive a sewing machine! Throughout the years I would pull out my sewing machine and teach myself how to make various things such as a little skirt for my cousin and fabric coasters. After injuring myself while competing in a Touch Football competition, my mum gave me a heat wheat to help relieve the discomfort, this is where it all started! Whilst using the heat wheat I thought of how useful it would be if I was able to make my own style of these to help others too. After some research and trial and error, I purchased all the materials needed to make a heat wheat. I then started selling my heat wheats to family and friends and soon enough I had a long list of orders to fill. A few years later, I now have 8 stockists and attend various handmade markets.

As part of my business studies at school, I was given the incredible opportunity to enter my business into the Future Anything Competition. After being successful in winning the semi-finals, I progressed to the grand finals where I pitched my business idea to a panel of 4 judges and 500+ people. That night, I was announced the 2021 National Future Anything Winner. This moment meant so much for me and my future business!

I am super passionate and driven to help people in my own unique way.
