October 28, 2017
It’s been a great week at North Harbour. The sun came out, we completed construction on Reflections Park, work on our Heritage Precinct continues apace and a $11.5M Soccer Complex five minutes from North Harbour was announced for our partners Caboolture FC!
There’s lots to get to this week including showcasing our latest homes for sale, so I’ll just dive right in.
$11.5M Burpengary East Soccer Complex
Great news for local soccer fans and supporters of Caboolture FC – a new, state of the art $11.45M soccer facility is under construction and scheduled to open in February 2019 at the Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex, just five minutes from North Harbour.
The Soccer Precinct will provide further sporting fields and clubhouse facilities on the site which also houses a $14M AFL Precinct, home to our community partner, Moreton Bay Lions AFSC. The project is aimed to provide further sporting options and recreation opportunities available for residents in the Burpengary area and surrounds. Go northside!
We love our footy and sport in general at North Harbour. Future North Harbour proposed development includes our own sports complex with a range of sports fields and space for other supporting activities.
The North Harbour plan also includes over 1,000 acres of open recreational space and parklands incorporating children’s playgrounds, exercise equipment, canoe launching platforms, walking tracks, bicycle tracks and of course our under-construction Heritage Precinct.
As part of our commitment to supporting our local community, North Harbour is a proud sponsor of many local sports clubs, such as the previously mentioned Caboolture FC and Moreton Bay Lions AFSC. Details of all our community partners can be found here. If you’re looking to play sport or find recreational activities for all ages in the Moreton Bay Region head to the council’s website.

Giddyup for Melbourne Cup!
On November 7th the race that stops a nation is at it again, giving everyone the excuse to drink and watch televised sport – if any excuse were needed! If you’re not headed to the track and are looking for something to do locally, read on.
Our community partner Caboolture Sports Club is providing several opportunities to join in the fun. Caboolture Sports Club is the perfect place to hang out, enjoy live music and tasty food. As the name implies, the team is nuts for sport and go all out for big televised sporting events and there’s even a courtesy bus to get you home safe and sound. This year as well as raffles, promotions and general frivolity there are both a special luncheon and garden party. Find out more here, if you’re keen make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.
If you do miss out or prefer another venue, North Lakes Golf Club is also hosting a garden party and Redcliffe’s beautiful waterfront hotel Mon Komo is hosting a special lunch.
And, if you’re staying home for Melbourne Cup, where better to watch than at North Harbour? Each home at North Harbour has access to state of the art, fibre optic network capable of speeds up to 1Gb per second from a broad range of Internet Service Providers*. More than enough speed to mean that watching the race that stops a nation doesn’t have to stop you as you can watch on whatever you want to watch it on, in whatever room of the house you want to watch it in.
We’ve got everything covered for the sports fan at home. Each house has access to underground reticulated gas. No more missing out while you run to the servo to change the gas bottle over for your race day BBQ. You can even hook up your TV in the outside area and have the world’s best sports bar in your own back yard! Or watch the race while you chill in the pool/ spa with a beer in your hand.
(Please note, internet speeds depend on the package you choose from your provider – head to Opticomm to find out more).
That’s it from me for this week – have a good one ????
