Heritage Precinct

November 1, 2019

The opening of the North Harbour Heritage Park Precinct is an exciting milestone for North Harbour and its wider community. This new park, which is built on land that has been in private ownership since the 1860s and is a Queensland Heritage Registered site, provides an insight into the early settlement of the area and the pioneering agricultural industries which emerged here.

The parkland includes pathways and tracks detailing the remnants of the past and the Compass Centre showcases historic photographs and stories interpreting the life and times of the various people who owned and worked on this land.

Dogs are welcome at Heritage Park, providing they remain on a lead at all times and do not wander onto the heritage artefacts. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
