North Harbour’s latest land release, Stage 22, The Mornington Release, launched officially on Saturday and we’ve had an extremely busy week in the Sales and Information Centre with numerous keen new buyers visiting us looking to buy land for sale. Many of our visitors are first home buyers, looking to purchase their dream home in the fast-growing corridor between north Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast (often called the Northern Growth Corridor).

Now is a great time to buy as the State Government has extended the First Home Buyers Grant for an extra six months, and it now stands at $15,000 (from 30 June 2018), giving first home buyers a great helping hand to get onto the property ladder. For those who aren’t aware, the First Home Buyers Grant is a one-off financial grant only available to those buying their first home in Australia who meet all the eligibility criteria.

Eligible recipients must be:

– at least 18 years old
– purchasing a new property under $750,000
– an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
– receiving the grant for the first time

Building a new home in a masterplanned development like North Harbour is a great way to use the First Home Buyers Grant to its full potential as the grant is not available for those looking to buy houses which are already established. North Harbour is an excellent place to choose when considering buying your first home for reasons we have elaborated on in previous blogs – namely, the longevity of the project (15 years and we’re about 3 years along), location (in one of Brisbane’s best “bang for your buck” suburbs, Burpengary East), affordability (house and land packages from $400,000), experience of the developers (we’ve built award-winning developments before) and first-class amenities

This is the last release in this area of North Harbour; after this stage is completed there will be no further construction scheduled in this area

Land construction in Stage 22 is currently underway, and registrations for this stage are expected in September/ October this year, giving you the flexibility to secure your lot now and then choose your dream home
