North Harbour Heritage Park:
One of the most exciting and unique parts of the North Harbour masterplan is our Heritage Park, which is located along the banks of Caboolture River. Heritage Park is a community attraction listed in the Queensland Heritage Register and offers our community access to a vast expanse of parkland including pathways and tracks for use by residents and visitors, allowing everyone to enjoy our slice of Queensland history and the beautiful Caboolture River. The heritage remains have been carefully preserved and will be available to view and enjoy by the general public in perpetuity.
The history of the site is interpreted from a dedicated facility, the Compass Centre, which delivers a ‘mind map’ of the site before it is experienced firsthand. The Compass Centre presents historic photographs, sketches and objects on display which allow visitors to appreciate the stories and significant developments from early European settlement through to the present day.
Also in the Heritage Park precinct is the Mountain Bike Trail which offers up to 6kms of riverside, off-road tracks to suit beginners and families as well as intermediate level riders. Access is from the end of Moreton Bay Boulevard next to Habitat Park 6am-6pm, weekends only. There are also bike paths and walking trails around the BBQ’s and picnics shelters.
Heritage Park is open 7 days a week, during daylight hours. For more information please click here.
North Harbour parkrun is held at 7am, every Saturday and is a free 5km cross country run/ walk around the future Heritage Park precinct along the Caboolture River.
Sunrise Yoga in the Park: This free, outdoor yoga class is held in Reflections Park, located off Mornington Parade every Sunday at 7am (8am in winter). This class is suitable for all ages and levels including beginners.
North Harbour Café: North Harbour Café is open every day for light meals and beverages as well as Friday nights for dine-in and takeaway. The Café is located in the Sales Centre building next to the children’s playground.
