We’re excited to share some major news, the Queensland Government has officially declared North Harbour a Priority Development Area (PDA).
This important milestone unlocks the next stage of our long-term masterplan, clearing the path for more homes, new jobs, and the delivery of our vibrant waterfront precinct.
What is a Priority Development Area (PDA)?
A PDA is a designated area of land identified by the State Government for accelerated development to help meet Queensland’s housing and infrastructure needs.
This means faster approvals, greater certainty, and coordinated planning between government, local council and the development team.
What does this mean for North Harbour?
The PDA declaration sets the wheels in motion for the next chapter of our community, including:
A Shared Vision for Growth
This milestone is the result of years of collaboration and shared vision. North Harbour has grown into a thriving community of more than 4,000 residents, and with the support of the Queensland Government and City of Moreton Bay, we’re now ready to deliver the next stage of our plan.
Whether you’re a current resident, future buyer, or business owner, this PDA declaration brings renewed certainty and opportunity. From new homes and lifestyle options to local jobs and marina access, this is a major step forward for the region.
What’s next?
An Interim Land Use Plan is now in effect, allowing development applications to proceed for the Early Release Area. Over the next 18 months, Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) will lead the preparation of a detailed Development Scheme in partnership with the City of Moreton Bay, our project team, and the community.
We look forward to engaging with you as this exciting vision takes shape.
