North Harbour celebrated a major milestone on Saturday April 23rd with the Grand Opening of our new Display Village.
The Display Village showcases the work of 14 local and national builders and features 35 stylish and innovative display homes. It is the biggest and best quality display village between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
Project Director Peter Lightbody said: “We are very excited to have reached this major milestone in the North Harbour project and to have shared such a great achievement with the local community, welcoming over 2,500 people to North Harbour on the day.
“As part of the celebration we enjoyed a show starring the Minions (with an opportunity for a meet and greet), a petting zoo, rides and fireworks as well as entertainment from The Theory.
“It was a wonderful family day and a great opportunity for us to welcome everyone to North Harbour.”
Display builders include Metricon, Hallmark, Stylemaster, Coral, Simonds, Integra and Sunvista. Many of the North Harbour display builders are based in Moreton Bay including Brad McLachlan, Valeco, Bold, Pantha, CMA, McDonald Jones (Qld head office) and GJ Gardner (regional office). North Harbour will introduce a new destination into the Moreton Bay Region – one that will take shape over the next 15 years as part of the significant growth projected for the local area.
North Harbour offers a unique residential development in the rapidly expanding northern corridor between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. North Harbour will encompass a residential community based around a proposed marina with direct access to Moreton Bay (subject to government to government approvals).
Situated on the banks of the Caboolture River, North Harbour will establish a new benchmark in living. A wide variety of living options will be available. North Harbour will feature numerous benefits for residents including a variety of lot sizes including large frontages, 420Ha of open space, 9 kilometres of frontage to the Caboolture River, high speed fibre broadband and natural gas to every home.
The overall project is forecast to deliver 2150 resident homes, 170 Ha Business Park, marina and marina village, with the creation of a forecast 27,150 jobs and $52 billion of economic benefit for the region.
The project site also contains the heritage listed “Moray Fields” homestead site, which was the first European settlement in the area and dates from 1861. These remains contain significant areas of cultural heritage, which are proposed to become a publicly accessible interpretive centre.
